RIN Information Handling Work Group

I just wanted to quickly report that I’m on a Working Group set up by the Researchers Information Network (RIN) to look at what they term ‘information handling’. The group is focused on the development of information literacy skills in researchers. At today’s meeting there was a presentation from JORUM and we had a useful conversation about how best to find information literacy resources. They were very interested in DELILA, specifically in our use of the SCONUL 7 Pillars to tag information literacy resources. They were also interested in the work we are doing to set up a peer review process for resources, so I have offered to share information as DELILA progresses. They were also interested in the workshop we are organising in July as one of the outputs from DELILA. It’s nice to feel we are doing some valuable work!
