Are current IL standards meaningful?

This online presentation asks some interesting questions about current information literacy standards and if they are fit for purpose.  It also makes ensures that you need to remember that your students will be novices in information literacy and so we shouldn’t take for granted that they will have any prior knowledge.  We also need to remember this when dealing with young academics and not to assume that because they have doctorates that they will have a high level skills in digital and information literacies.
